Porcelain veneers in Oakland, FL

Designed around your face, not toward the brightest shade on the tab. Previewed digitally before anything is prepared.

A veneer is a thin shell bonded to the front of a tooth. It changes shape, color, and apparent alignment in one step, which is why it's the tool of choice when several things about a front tooth are wrong at once and fixing them individually would take a year.

It's also the treatment where taste matters as much as technique. The difference between veneers that look like good teeth and veneers that look like veneers is entirely in the planning: proportion, edge translucency, how the arch follows the lower lip, and the discipline to stop short of uniform white.

We design in digital preview first. You see the proposed result and can argue with it before any enamel is touched.

Porcelain or composite, and what each is good for

Porcelain veneers are made in a lab from a scan, bonded in a second visit, and typically last 10 to 15 years or longer. They resist staining almost completely and handle light the way enamel does, which is most of why they look convincing. They cost more and they're the less reversible option, since some enamel is usually removed to make room.

Composite veneers are sculpted directly onto the tooth in a single visit, cost substantially less, and can often be done with minimal or no enamel removal. They stain over time, chip more readily, and typically need redoing after five to seven years. For a younger patient, a single tooth, or someone who wants to try a shape before committing, they're frequently the better call.

Neither is the right answer in general. The right answer depends on how many teeth, how much correction, your bite, and how much irreversibility you're comfortable with.

What veneers can't fix

Veneers are a surface treatment on a healthy foundation. Active decay, untreated gum disease, and significant bite problems all need addressing first, because bonding porcelain onto an unstable base produces an expensive result that fails early.

Grinding is the specific one worth flagging. Untreated bruxism will chip porcelain, and if you grind, that needs managing with a nightguard as part of the plan rather than discovered afterward.

And where the issue is genuinely alignment rather than appearance, aligners followed by minimal bonding often produce a better and more conservative result than veneers alone. Reshaping teeth to disguise a bite problem is a bad trade if the bite can simply be corrected. We'd rather say so than sell the bigger case.

What this includes at our studio

  • Digital smile design preview before any preparation
  • Porcelain veneers, lab-made from an iTero scan
  • Composite veneers and cosmetic bonding, done chairside
  • Shade and proportion planned to your features
  • Gum contouring where the frame matters as much as the teeth
  • A nightguard where grinding would otherwise shorten the result

What veneers cost

A porcelain veneer at West Orange Dental Studio runs 1,650 to 1,900 dollars per tooth. A composite veneer sculpted directly onto the tooth in one visit runs 1,000 to 1,150 dollars per tooth, and a lab-made indirect resin veneer sits between them at 1,350 to 1,600 dollars.

Multiply accordingly, because veneer cases are rarely one tooth. The usual front-eight porcelain case lands somewhere around 13,000 to 15,000 dollars, which is a genuine financial decision and one worth taking time over rather than deciding at the consultation.

Two things are often part of the plan and priced separately. Gum contouring, where the frame around the teeth matters as much as the teeth, runs 475 to 600 dollars for one to three teeth and 850 to 1,000 dollars for four or more. A hard nightguard, which we'll insist on if you grind, runs 750 to 900 dollars and is cheap insurance against replacing porcelain early.

Veneers are cosmetic, so insurance almost never contributes unless a tooth is being restored after damage. The digital preview happens before any tooth is prepared, so you approve the design before committing to the case.

What moves the number

  • Porcelain, indirect resin, or direct composite
  • How many teeth are being treated
  • Whether gum contouring is part of the plan
  • Whether a nightguard is needed to protect the result
  • Whether alignment or restorative work needs doing first

These are our own fee ranges, before insurance, current as of August 2026. They are ranges because no two cases are identical: materials, complexity, and what we find on examination all move the number. Your exact fee is confirmed in a written treatment plan before anything begins.

Common questions

How much do veneers cost near Winter Garden?

A porcelain veneer at West Orange Dental Studio in Oakland, FL runs 1,650 to 1,900 dollars per tooth, and a direct composite veneer 1,000 to 1,150 dollars per tooth. A typical front-eight porcelain case lands around 13,000 to 15,000 dollars. Gum contouring (475 to 600 dollars for one to three teeth) and a protective nightguard (750 to 900 dollars) are priced separately when the plan needs them. Veneers are cosmetic, so insurance rarely contributes.

How long do porcelain veneers last?

Porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years and often longer with good care. Composite veneers usually need redoing after about five to seven years because they stain and chip more readily. Grinding is the biggest factor in shortening either, which is why a nightguard is often part of the plan.

Veneers or bonding: which is right for me?

Bonding suits smaller corrections, single teeth, and anyone who wants a reversible, lower-cost option in one visit. Porcelain veneers suit multiple teeth, larger changes in shape or color, and cases where longevity and stain resistance matter. The honest deciding factors are how many teeth, how much change, and how permanent you want it.

Do veneers ruin your teeth?

Porcelain veneers usually require removing a thin layer of enamel, which is not reversible, so the tooth will always need a veneer or crown afterward. That's a real commitment but not damage in itself. Composite veneers can often be done with minimal or no enamel removal, which is one reason they're a reasonable first step.

Can I see what my veneers will look like first?

Yes. West Orange Dental Studio uses digital smile design to produce a preview of the proposed result before any preparation begins, so shape, proportion, and shade can be discussed and changed while it's still just a design.

Will veneers look fake?

They look fake when they're uniformly bright, identically shaped, and too large for the face. Natural teeth vary subtly in shade and shape and are translucent at the edge. Avoiding the obvious result is a matter of planning and restraint in the design stage, which is exactly what the preview step is for.

Do I need to fix anything before getting veneers?

Usually yes, if anything is active. Decay, gum disease, and significant bite problems all need treating first, because veneers are a surface treatment bonded to a foundation and an unstable foundation makes them fail early. Grinding needs managing with a nightguard as part of the plan.
